Benefits of a Personal Record

After my record setting run yesterday, I am still feeling the benefits. Surprisingly, I am having the least amount of knee pain, and my body is feeling great overall.  I felt a craving to go to the bakery to grab a savory sweet, but I resisted by recalling my sweet success instead.  I began looking forward to my run tonight, which will be followed by a healthy dinner that is waiting for me at home.

Since achieving this personal best, I am ready to set some new goals.  Given that I have maintained a healthy weight and healthy eating habits, I’ve decided to focus on running longer and faster.  I am going to shoot for 5 miles in 40 minutes.  I achieved this once on a treadmill, and I know I can do it again!
