It has been one extraordinary year since I started Running Without a Watch. It all began because I desperately needed to find an easier way to exercise each day and to eat healthier without driving
myself and my family
crazy. Jackpot,
baby!
When I first started I
was 172.0lbs and my goal was to drop to 160.0.
I reached this goal weight at the end of October and have never looked
back. When I weighed myself two days
ago, the scale said 160.0. What more can
I ask for? I just
got finished my best running month ever, logging 100.7 miles in August. Five out of the past six months, I have run
20 days or more for the month. The one
month I missed was when our baby was born.
I have become more
relaxed with my food, keeping it very simple.
I measure out portions and eat tons of fruits and vegetables. I still have my moments, but they are more
the exception than the rule.
I am looking forward
towards my second year. I hope to
continue to maintain my weight, experiment with new foods, make new recipes and
run a half marathon in March.
Congratulations to all of
us who are striving to be our very best!
