I knew when I got on the scale Monday morning; the scale was
going to go up. It went from 160 to 163
over the weekend. I was not worried. I
knew I did not eat 3 pounds worth of extra food over the weekend. What happened was that I baked bread on Thursday
night and I ate a little more of it than I should have. The extra bread caused me to retain water
which increased my weight temporary.
This was one of the most valuable lessons I have learned
this year. Do not let the small
increments affect you. If you did not thing different to cause the increase, it
will go away in a few days. If the weight
is still there after about 3 weeks, it is time to adjust.
How do you deal with temporary increases in your weight?
