During my record run the other night, I reached the top of the last hill in about 38:30. This is significant because I remember the first time, I reached this point during a 4 mile run in the same time. I was so happy, that I was able to do 4 miles in under 40 minutes.
I was checking my training logs to make sure the 41:21 was a new record for 5 miles. I could not remember if I came close to this a year or so ago. I checked, my previous record was 42:34. I beat it by over a minute.
I also checked and saw that this same route I ran, I used to complete in 51 minutes. In just a little over 2 years, Running Without A Watch helped me to drop 10 minutes from this route or about a 20% improvement.
