I had a few
goals I wanted to achieve in September.
I wanted to run 90 miles over the course of 20 days. I also wanted to start my half marathon training
and achieve a long run of 9 miles.
I wound up
running 84 miles over 20 days. While I
did not achieve my mileage goal, it is not something to be upset about. This makes the 4th straight month
of reaching 20 days running and makes the seventh month this year. Not too shabby! Also, 84 miles is the second
highest total I have ran in a month. The
highest was last month when I broke 100 miles.
I did not start
my half marathon training yet nor did I make it out for a 9 mile run. The longest run I went out for in September
was for 7 miles. The month got off to a slow start. I only went out running 6 of the first 11
days. I got back on track and then ran
10 of the next 12 days. After a few days
off, I finished strong with 4 days in a row to end the month.
For the month
of October my goals are going to be on the high side. The heat is gone and the nights are getting
cool. The kids are back in school, so
there are no excuses. I want to run 100
miles over the course of 25 days. I am
also planning on long runs of 7, 7.5 and 8 miles.
How was your September
and what do you have in store for October?
