If you have not heard of Dean
Karnzes, I suggest you look him up. He
is the ultra ultrarunner. He has run 50
marathons, in 50 states, in 50 days. He
competes in 100+ mile endurance races and wins.
He also once ran for 24 hours straight on a treadmill. The reason I bring him up is I just finished
two of his books. Ultramarathon Man: Confessions of an All-Night Runner
and
50/50: Secrets I Learned Running 50 Marathons in 50 Days -- and How You Too Can Achieve Super Endurance!
. This is
a guy who loves running and all things running.
I highly recommend both of these
books. They are easy to read and
provided me with some motivation and information about running. If I was struggling during one of my runs, I
would think about how Dean endured running those crazy distances.
Which books have you read recently
to help keep you motivated?
