Wintertime Blues

What is your goal for winter?  My goals are not to gain more than a few pounds and still heading out for a run consistently.  2 months to go!!!  Maybe the groundhog will not see his shadow.  When it is cold and dark out, my motivation drops a little.  Throw in some precipitation, it drops even more.  
 
Instead of getting out there and enjoying myself, I find I want to find finish as soon as I can. Instead of extending my runs, I am doing the minimum distance. The later it gets, the harder it is to get out of the house. When I head out after 7, it is dark.  There are also not as many people out enjoying the outside. 

I  find I eat a little worse than normal. Lately, I have been overdoing it with Chocolate chips.  Plus I stopped measuring my cereal. It was fine it I just stuck to one bowl, but there were some mornings, I would pour myself two or three bowls. 

I need to run each of the last days of the month to reach my goal of 21 days and 85 miles.  Its times to shut and get out there one day at a time.

No excuses!!!
